Social justice can take on different forms. Strayer University supports students in its Strayer University Fellows program in making a positive impact in their communities.
Philadelphia barber Desmond Kirton is doing just that by running a barber skills program at Murrell Dobbins Career and Technical High School, a vocational school located in the West Lehigh neighborhood of North Philadelphia.
He joins 83 other students from across the country who have earned the distinction of a Strayer University Fellow for Justice and received a full-tuition scholarship for a Strayer University bachelor’s degree program in accounting, business administration, criminal justice, or information technology. He is the first graduate under the Strayer Fellows for Justice Scholarship program.
