Spend the Holidays in Historic #DowntownHaddonfield, every Friday Night from November 29 – December 20, as the business district transforms into a sparkling wonderland. Downtown merchants will have extended shopping hours; open until 8 PM or later. Plus, Downtown Parking is FREE from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve.

Friday, November 29, at 6 p.m.: the kick-off to Candlelight Shopping continues with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Library Point. Mayor Colleen Bianco Bezich will lead the ceremony with performances by Haddonfield school choirs and DJ Frank Staff. Then, Mr. & Mrs. Claus, will lead the Santa Parade to Kings Court, where they will pose for pictures in the Gazebo.

Carolers and musicians will fill the night air with classic holiday music every Friday Night during Candlelight Shopping with performances by the Greater Philadelphia Choral Society, Hampton Brass Band and more! Mrs. Claus visits Downtown Haddonfield merchants on December 13 & 20. Mrs. Claus can’t wait to take pictures with you and your loved ones – if you can catch her while shopping!

Shoppers are encouraged to “Brunch BIG & shop small” on Sat. November 30 & Sun. December 1 as retail shops will have early shopping hours during Small Business Weekend. Downtown Haddonfield is home to over a dozen breakfast and brunch destinations – including Café Lift’s sister location. Brunch-goers can BYOB to most locations – fun fact: despite being a dry town, Downtown Haddonfield home to a brewery, a winery and distillery all within the heart of the business district.

New this year! The Indian King Tavern Museum is hosting “Yuletide at the Museum,” a weekly colonial-era holiday event, December 6, 13 & 20. Guests can learn how ancestors observed the holidays during the American Revolution, make/ take historical holiday ornaments, and enjoy refreshments. Reenactors will host a variety of activities such as old-fashioned marionettes, period-piece caroling & more! The Indian King Tavern Museum is almost 300 years old and nestled on Kings Highway, the main street in historic Haddonfield. It is New Jersey’s first state- owned historic site (acquired in 1903) and it is where New Jersey completed its transition from colony to state.

The best gift this season is the Downtown Haddonfield Community E-Gift Card. It’s easy to buy and use and keeps dollars local. The Mastercard-backed electronic gift card lets merchants see the funds in their account at the end of the business day. Community E-Gift Cards can be redeemed at designated locations in the Downtown District and sent via email, text, or printed.

The Partnership for Haddonfield, the managing corporation of the Haddonfield business district, encourages everyone in the Delaware Valley to “Shop Small” and “Support Local” this year. “Now more than ever, it’s important to support small businesses,” says the Partnership’s Executive Director, Michael Marciante. “Studies show that for every $100 spent at a locally owned business, nearly $70 stays in the community and contributes to its economic growth.” Marciante notes that “shopping small also allows customers to get to know the people behind the product or service, which results in unbeatable customer service and personalization.”
