How Top Workplaces
Nurture Talent
From hiring smarter to retaining star employees, here’s how companies can set themselves up for success.
Most organizations treat retention like an onboarding problem. Get people in. Get them engaged early. Build culture. Create a good first experience. But the biggest retention risk usually shows up later, right around the time employees should be hitting their stride.
In 2006, Tim Janney walked into CarShop Hatfield as a technician. Nearly two decades later, he’s still there, now as a manager.
For healthcare professionals, a great workplace is often defined by more than benefits, titles, or career advancement. It is also about having the time, resources, and support to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.
When hiring, it’s easy to get caught up on a candidate’s skillset. Can they do the job? Do they have the required certifications? How many years of experience do they have? (Do they know how to get a table at Mawn?)
When people consistently receive clear, constructive input, they gain a better understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement, empowering them to develop their skills and contribute more effectively.
